How to grow your business the easy way

Share

In my line of work there is an old saying that goes some thing like this. "Treat each client as if they are your only client and they will bring you more." I have found this to be true more than not. Giving your clients your full and undivided attention as you work with them is definitely one of the best ways to keep them loyal. I was in one of those giant hardware stores recently and I noticed something. The employees of the store were actively attempting to find customers to help. This is different because in years passed this same big store's employees were ghosts. You couldn't find help in one of those places if you tried. But something changed. What was it? How could a company go from no support in the aisles to customers being asked ten times if they needed help. What could possibly have made them switch? I have come to the conclusion that the answer is two fold. First, the economy tanked and second the competition got with the program. Let me explain what I mean by both and it will be very clear how you can use these tactics to help with you business.

The Economy Tanked

The large company I was speaking about was Lowes.  They were in such a great situation before the housing market fell off that they really didn't need to help every person in the place.  They we all busy trying to handle the commercial orders that were being called in at record rates.  But then the market lost its momentum and life as they knew it was gone within months.  Commercial companies that had been spending thousands of dollars a month with them simply went out of business. Gone, vanished, notta.  So now Lowes either has to lay a ton of employees off or find revenue the old fashion way, by earning it.

Competiton got stiff

Not only was the market falling but the other players were beginning to play hard ball.  Let's look at one simple example that will give you pause and hopefully you will realize just how powerful marketing is.  In 2010, a small sized company that most big boys had forgotten about woke up and got with the program.  If you watch much television at all you know that ACE Hardware has been advertising like crazy about getting into their store and getting the stuff you need to do the job quickly.  This is smart marketing because it simply attacks the big boys where there was an issue.  When you went to a Lowes you were never able to get into and get out of them quickly.  The second area of this marketing is ACE is saying that you don't have to go there and waste your time because we have what you need to get the job done.  This Two fold advertising is genious and hits the big boys right where it hurts>>In there pocket book.

Ace Company Earnings:"For the quarter, the company reported total revenues of $1.021 billion compared with $1.016 billion a year ago. Net income attributable to the company was $34.6 million, an increase of $5.8 million or 20.0%, compared to $28.8 million in 2010."

Lowe ' s Companies Earnings: Net income for Lowe ' s Companies, Inc. fell to $830 million (68 cents per share) vs. $832 million (58 cents per share) a year earlier. This is a decline of 0.2% from the year earlier quarter.

Marketing works. The easy way to build your business and get your name out there to the masses is to create a brand for your company.  Start with the Logo and grow your company with  honesty and integrity.  Don't let the competition get ahead of you because if they do you might not recover.  Let us help you grow your business.  We market through email, video for commercials and on the web through your new website.  It's our job to make you look good.  Call us today at 731.402.0402 and let us take your business to market!

What is SEO(Search Engine Optimization)?
Search engine optimization (SEO) is the process of improving the visibility of a website or a web page in search engines via the "natural" or un-paid ("organic" or "algorithmic") search results. Additional Search engine marketing (SEM) methods including paid listings may achieve higher effectivity. In general, the earlier (or higher on the page), and more frequently a site appears in the search results list, the more visitors it will receive from the search engine's users. SEO may target different kinds of search, including image search, local search, video search, academic search,[1] news search and industry-specific vertical search engines. This gives a website web presence.

As an Internet marketing strategy, SEO considers how search engines work, what people search for, the actual search terms typed into search engines and which search engines are preferred by their targeted audience. Optimizing a website may involve editing its content and HTML and associated coding to both increase its relevance to specific keywords and to remove barriers to the indexing activities of search engines. Promoting a site to increase the number of backlinks, or inbound links, is another SEO tactic.

The acronym "SEOs" can refer to "search engine optimizers," a term adopted by an industry of consultants who carry out optimization projects on behalf of clients, and by employees who perform SEO services in-house. Search engine optimizers may offer SEO as a stand-alone service or as a part of a broader marketing campaign. Because effective SEO may require changes to the HTML source code of a site and site content, SEO tactics may be incorporated into website development and design. The term "search engine friendly" may be used to describe website designs, menus, content management systems, images, videos, shopping carts, and other elements that have been optimized for the purpose of search engine exposure.

Another class of techniques, known as black hat SEO, search engine poisoning, or spamdexing, uses methods such as link farms, keyword stuffing and article spinning that degrade both the relevance of search results and the quality of user-experience with search engines. Search engines look for sites that employ these techniques in order to remove them from their indices.

What can a website do for me?
The answer to this question is neither short nor easy. With a little research and thought you can find hundreds of reasons, but there are a few general statements that may help you realize your needs. First a website can reach millions of people that might not otherwise be available. Second, customers can view products, services, or whatever you want to share from the comfort of their own home. No matter what type of business you are in, their are ways to grow and make money on the web for you.

Why does it matter how it looks as long as it works?
When you recieve a visitor to your site, they will instantly percieve the quality of your services or products. The first impression a customer or potential customer gets depends on the appearance of your website. A visitor will be interested and explore your site if it is appealing and easy to navigate. You are marketing yourself and your business to the world over the Internet and it is important to show your best.

I don't think a website will do anything for me, am I right?
No, many people overlook the various products, services, or business processes they can include on a website. Any communication or interactions that happen within your business can be made easier and more effecient by the web. Your business will save money and time while appealing to a much greater audience, the world.

I have heard that my website can be a place to help my employees do their jobs, is this true?
While most businesses view the Internet as an opportunity to expand their sales through traditional e-commerce, few people are aware of the opportunities of increasing efficiency and reducing expenses. Placing business processes, especially those done daily, on the internet is possible for all types of businesses.

So, I want to establish a strong presence on the Web. But where do I start?
The four easy steps we provide below will guide you in the direction of a professionally designed, developed and marketed Web site.

  • Step One: Domain Name (URL) Registration -- This is the address people will use to access your Web site (www.yourcompany.com). Once you have determined that the URL you wish to use is available, the cost to register a name is anywhere from $8.00 to $35.00 per year. A domain name needs to be renewed every year.
  • Step Two: Design of the Web Site -- This is where the look, feel, and content of the Web site are determined and created.
  • Step Three: Hosting Your Web Site on a Web Server -- This is basically where you rent space on a computer that is always connected to the Internet. Price will vary, depending on the amount of disk space you will have and the connection to the Internet.
  • Step Four: Marketing Your Web Site -- You should be thinking about the marketing of your Web site as it is being designed. The content of the site needs to reflect the search terms if you want your site to appear on search engines.

Fathers Networks was developed for the fathers and children of divorce.  Often times the child caught up in the divorce suffers drastically and we wanted to create a wonderful fountain of knowledge for those who need help.  The web design and site development took only a week and fathersnetworks.com was off and running.

This website offers a concise back-end content management system so even the "non-tech" can publish new articles and keep their site up to date.
