Google+ was released by Google with 100 launches on June 28. The search engine giant has tried to release a prior social network platform known as Buzz, which failed to live up to the privacy expectations of its users.

In response to the Buzz flop, Google engineered Google+ to have features for you to customize your profile and privacy settings. Google has thus developed new concepts in sharing content.  Here ' s some of the features that distinguish Google+:

    Profile +Circle
        Allows you to organize your friends into different groups, or 'circles

    Stream + Sparks
        Google ' s version of Facebook ' s News Feed and allows you to share sparks and interests with other friends.
    Hangouts + Huddles
        Hangout allows you to make yourself available for video chats with members of certain circles.
        Huddle is a group text feature that allows all members of a circle to access a mobile forum.
    Photos
        Photos are integrated by Google ' s Picasa photo service, which allows you to upload them on a private album.
        Google has already launched a photo based storage system for Android and iOS.

Google has long been looking to enter the social media landscape, and it appears they are on the right track with Google+. Facebook has acquired around 700 million users while Twitter has acquired 200 million users. Google+ hopes to join the social network circle and to increase their online user numbers.
