What information we collect
Information you give us directly
- Contact form submissions. When you submit our project walk-through form, we collect the name you provide, your email address, optional phone number, optional company or website, your project category, your indicated budget range, your timeline, and any project description you choose to write.
- AEO Scorecard submissions. When you run a free AEO Scorecard, we collect your business name, website URL, the queries you submit for testing, and the email address you provide for delivery of the scorecard report.
- Email correspondence. If you email us, the contents of your message and your email address.
- Payments. If you purchase a service, billing information is collected and processed by Stripe (we never see or store full card numbers — see “Third-party services” below).
Information collected automatically
- Standard server logs. Like most websites, our server logs IP addresses, browser type and version, operating system, referring URL, pages visited, and timestamps. This information is used for security, troubleshooting, and aggregate traffic analysis.
- Cookies and similar technologies. See the “Cookies” section below.
- Analytics. We use Google Analytics to understand aggregate site behavior. Analytics cookies do not personally identify you but do report visit patterns.
How we use information
- Respond to your inquiries and run client engagements.
- Deliver the services you request, including AEO Scorecard reports and project follow-ups.
- Send transactional emails (replies, confirmations, scheduled deliverables).
- Send occasional marketing emails to existing leads and clients (you can unsubscribe at any time using the link at the bottom of any such email).
- Improve the site, our services, and our pitch — by understanding which content resonates and which doesn’t.
- Operate the business: invoicing, accounting, and legal compliance.
- Detect and prevent abuse, spam, and fraud.
Third-party services we rely on
We use a small number of trusted third parties to operate this site and our services. Each is bound by their own privacy policy; we do not sell or rent your information to anyone.
- Google — Google Analytics for aggregate analytics, Google Fonts for typography. Policy.
- Anthropic (Claude API) — used to generate AEO Scorecard reports, draft article content, and process certain natural-language inputs. Anthropic does not train on the data we send via API. Policy.
- OpenAI — used in some scorecard tests and content workflows. OpenAI does not train on data sent via API. Policy.
- Stripe — payment processing. Stripe receives your billing information directly; we never store full card numbers. Policy.
- Gravity Forms — runs our project walk-through and other web forms. Submissions are stored in our WordPress database and emailed to us. Policy.
- FluentSMTP / SMTP relay — delivers transactional emails reliably to your inbox.
- LinkedIn — when we publish blog content, we may automatically share the public title, excerpt, and link to our LinkedIn page using the LinkedIn API. We do not import or process LinkedIn user data; the integration only pushes outbound posts. Policy.
- Pexels, fal.ai (Flux), Shutterstock — licensed image providers used for blog and marketing visuals.
- WordPress hosting (InterWorx). Our hosting provider has access to server logs and database content as needed to operate the infrastructure.
Cookies
We use a small number of cookies:
- Functional cookies remember preferences (e.g. dismissed notices) and are required for the site to work properly.
- Analytics cookies (Google Analytics) help us understand aggregate visitor behavior. They do not identify you personally.
- Form / session cookies are used briefly to allow multi-step forms (the project walk-through) to function correctly.
You can disable cookies in your browser settings, but parts of the site may not work as expected.
Email and marketing
If you submit a contact form, request a scorecard, or otherwise reach out, we will reply by email. We may follow up about your project, send a periodic newsletter, or share relevant case studies. Every marketing email contains a clear unsubscribe link. To opt out of all marketing email at once, email bobby@studiobluecreative.com with “unsubscribe” in the subject.
Data retention
We keep contact and project data as long as you are an active prospect or client, plus a reasonable retention period afterward for accounting, legal, and re-engagement purposes (typically 7 years for financial records, 3 years for prospect records). Backups are retained on rolling 30-day cycles. You may request earlier deletion at any time — see “Your rights” below.
Security
We use industry-standard security practices: TLS encryption for all site traffic and form submissions, hashed and salted credentials, server-side firewalls and intrusion monitoring, and least-privilege access for any vendor or contractor who needs to look at infrastructure. No system is perfectly secure; if you discover a security issue, please email us immediately so we can address it.
Your rights
If you are in the European Economic Area or the UK (GDPR)
You have the right to: access the personal data we hold about you, request correction or deletion, restrict or object to processing, data portability, and withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any of these rights, email bobby@studiobluecreative.com and we will respond within 30 days. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
If you are in California (CCPA / CPRA)
You have the right to know what personal information we collect, why, and with whom we share it; to request deletion; to correct inaccurate information; to opt out of any sale or share of your personal information (we do not sell personal information); and to non-discrimination for exercising these rights. To make a request, email bobby@studiobluecreative.com with “California privacy request” in the subject.
