What is AEO Content Audits?

An AEO content audit is a structured review of your website’s existing content, scoring each page on the signals that determine whether large language models will cite it. We look at structure (clear question/answer pairs), entity clarity (does the AI know who you are?), source authority (are you cited elsewhere?), and schema (is the content machine-readable?). Then we rewrite the pages with the highest citation potential.

How we score at scale

Scoring five pages by hand is easy. Scoring five hundred isn’t, and sampling a handful of pages misses the ones that matter. Our audits run on the same automated pipeline behind our free AEO Scorecard, so every page and every target query gets checked. Then people make the calls a tool can’t.

Automated citation testing. Every target query runs programmatically against the AI engines, repeated across runs because AI answers vary, and we log who gets named: you, a competitor, or a directory. That’s your baseline, and the 90-day re-test uses the exact same harness.
Automated page scoring. A crawl scores every page on the signals LLMs reward: whether the question is answered in the first two sentences, heading structure, FAQ coverage, schema that actually validates (broken JSON-LD silently outputs nothing, and we see it constantly), and whether your name, address, and services are stated consistently.
Human judgment on what to fix. Tools flag weak pages; they don’t know which pages bring you revenue. We rank the fixes by business value, not score alone, and then do the rewrites, schema, and re-testing ourselves.
