What is AI Workflow Automation?

Zapier is great for simple “when X happens, do Y” automations. It falls apart when steps require judgment (“read this email and decide if it’s a complaint, an inquiry, or spam”) or when you need real error handling. We use n8n and Make for those because they’re cheaper at scale, more flexible, and let us inject AI cleanly into the right steps.

Most clients see net positive ROI in month 2 or 3. The first month is build-out; month 2 is running and finding edge cases; month 3 the time savings compound. We size projects to clear that bar.

Every workflow has error handling: retries on transient failures, alerts on persistent failures, fallbacks to a human inbox when AI confidence is low. You’ll never silently miss a lead because an automation broke.
